We’re a team of friends, relatives and business partners who combine work and pleasure, knowledge and passion, meditation and diversity. Digitalni odklop (Digital detox) is a registered trademark owned by Slonček Tourist Agency, Sežana, Slovenia. The idea of digital detox has been realised to offer an escape from the toxic ‘comfort’ zone of the digital world. The Republic of Slovenia has recognised the innovative nature of digital detox as a project that encompasses uncommon elements, originality, out-of-the-box business idea, and promotion of Slovenian tourism.

These are wonderful, but at the same time very strange times. Never before has humanity been as globally connected as in this moment. We have entered the digital age, but things in real life are far from perfect. When we look around, all we see is people staring at their smartphones. And we’re one of them. Although we’re connected, we’ve never, in our entire history, been so disconnected from each other. The negative psychological, sociological and cultural consequences will continue to grow and multiply. We have to take control of our relationship with digital devices and set an example for younger generations.

In these times of rapid technological advances that march towards the robotic era, we have to make sure that we invent robots, not become them. For the future of humanity, it is crucial that we establish a healthy relationship with digital devices.
