ACCOMMODATION
We leave from Primorska and Ljubljana region on Friday afternoon. On the way, we turn off our mobile phones and get our first glimpse of digital detox. In the early evening hours, we arrive to Bela krajina and get settled in at Kalska tourist farm. The tourist farm with a traditional barn is located in the village of Štrekljevec near Semič, at the north-west edge of Bela krajina/White Carniola.
The old house consists of a kitchen, living area, two large bedrooms, and two modern bathrooms. Although the house is furnished in a traditional style, it offers all comforts of modern-day life.
The traditional barn suits the surroundings, but it is modern inside, comprising rooms, bathrooms, a kitchen, as well as a large area that is perfect for business or festive events and accommodates up to 40 people. The old cellar has been refurnished into a wine shop with an open kitchen and covered terrace.

For each and every one of us, the ability to accept ourselves is important if we want to live easeful and joyful lives.
THERAPEUTIC YOGA
After we settle in, it is time for yoga. At digital detox, each day begins and ends with it. Therapeutic yoga adapts to your individual physical, psychological and emotional needs. Therefore, it is suitable for anyone, regardless of your age, health issues, or physical fitness. It is especially recommended for those who believe they are not flexible enough to do regular yoga. Therapeutic yoga uses various yoga elements and techniques: asanas (yoga postures), pranayamas (breathing techniques), mudras, meditation, and other teachings of yoga philosophy. Yoga postures are achieved carefully, gently, and gradually, the main focus being dedicated to proper breathing techniques. Yoga is the art of self-awareness, where we focus our attention on our being, to live in this moment. After all, the change must come from within.
CULINARY WORKSHOP
Saturday afternoon is set aside for a culinary workshop, where we will create local delicacies with a pinch of spices from around the world. We will learn to prepare two nutritious soups to warm our hearts, and a delicious guilt-free dessert.
A relaxing time in the kitchen and exploring different natural flavours is an important part of getting in touch with your inner being. Find the true balance with the vast array of sensory experience that will help your body and mind focus on the now.
We will explore different flavours that stimulate the body’s hidden taste buds, and address the issue of food awareness. Where does our food come from and how it affects our body and mind? Which food makes us feel great? Which food makes us sleepy and bloated? Which ingredients are the best source of vitamins, minerals and other vital nutrients? Which food rejuvenates us from inside out? We focus on natural, local and body-friendly plant ingredients, seasoned with spices from around the world.

HIKING EXPEDITION: FROM SEMIČ TO THE SPRING OF THE KRUPA RIVER
After the morning yoga and a home-made breakfast, we will undertake a hiking expedition to the spring of the Krupa River. All along the way, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Bela Krajina.
The municipality of Semič with its natural and cultural heritage sites is a true paradise for those who like to take peaceful strolls through pristine nature. City crowds and hubbub are so far away they seem like a distant memory. It is a kind and quiet place, full of interesting adventures and traditions to be discovered.
We’re headed to the spring of the Krupa River. Not far from the town of Semič is a 30-metre cliff where water bursts into life with incredible power and inflow of up to 1,000 litres per second. The river and its bank are protected as a natural monument and has been included in the Natura 2000 ecological network. Its source lake is also a natural habitat of the famous Proteus anguinus, affectionately called ‘baby dragon’, and the only habitat of the cave mollusc Congeria kusceri in Slovenia. It is truly a magnificent sight.

Don't just look. Observe. Don't just swallow. Taste. Don't just sleep. Dream. Don't just think. Feel. Don't just exist. Live.

“The old house is really comfortable and nicely furnished. High-quality service. The weekend was really relaxing. The detox programme was well organised and kept us busy. I liked yoga in the open. The culinary workshop was really useful and lots of fun. I think that we are all addicted to technology, so this detox weekend is an excellent opportunity to get back in touch with nature, with your inner self, and learn how to express yourself better. I warmly recommend this experience to all.”
